How To Play Wordle
Wordle went viral on most social media platforms back in the early weeks of 2022. The original version, while created by the developer of powerlanguage, was bought by the New York Times Games in February. This is still where the original version of the game is hosted, and everything in this article will be about that version and none of the many copycats out there.

In order to play, first head to the site. Choose a starting Wordle word and type it into the grid. The starting word:
Should have a good variety of common letters. Needs to be a real word. Needs to be five letters long. Should be the Americanized spelling. Should not be a plural noun ending in S. Should not be a proper noun.
After typing it into the Wordle site, press enter. The letters will then turn green, yellow, gray, and each of these colors gives hints to the player. Green letters are right, gray wrong, and yellow are right but in the wrong position in the word. Players have a grand total of six tries before they lose the word of the day. There is only one puzzle a day, so players will need to wait until midnight local time to try their hand at a new puzzle. If one word a day isn’t enough, there are tons of clone sites and apps out there to help.
